The content of chromium and nickel in
201 stainless steel J series is very different, mainly due to the difference between copper and carbon. The higher the copper content, the softer the material, and the better the flexibility, ductility and stretchability. Among them, J4 It has the highest copper content and is a high-copper material, followed by J1, which is a medium-copper material, while J2, J3, and J5 are basically copper-free materials.
J4
J4 is relatively expensive in the J series. Its ductility and stretchability are the best, and it is suitable for some deep-drawn products (some small-angle products are basically competent). When deep drawing and stretchability are required, J4 For salt spray test products, J4 will be chosen in most cases, such as sinks, kitchenware, bathroom products, kettles, thermos cups, etc.
J1
The carbon content of J1 is higher than that of J4, and the copper content is lower than that of J4, so the processing performance is not as good as J4. It is suitable for making ordinary shallow drawn products and flat plates with high bending requirements, such as decorative boards, bathroom products, sinks, finished pipes, etc. .
J3
J3 is high carbon, low chromium, and low copper. Due to its high carbon content, low copper content, and hard material, it is not suitable for high-strength bending. It is suitable for narrow-band fields and is mostly used in decorative pipes. In terms of decorative panels, only simple processing can be done, and they are suitable for bending around 90°. If the angle is greater than 150°, the material may burst.
J2, J5
J2 and J5 have high carbon content, almost no copper, high hardness and strong rigidity. Most of the flat plates on the market currently have these two types, but they are not suitable for stamping and stretching. They can only guarantee 90-degree bending without breaking. . It is good for processing decorative round pipes because of its relatively high hardness and beautiful polishing angle. However, it is prone to bursting when used to produce square pipes or bent pipes at 90 degrees. In terms of flat panels, due to the relatively high hardness, the board surface is beautiful. Surface treatments such as frosting, polishing, and color plating are all possible, but the biggest problem is bending and gouging, which will cause bursting, so the ductility is slightly poor
The biggest problem between the 201J series is the bending problem. J2 and J5 are easy to break when bending, the grooves are easy to burst, and the ductility is poor. J2 is very hard and can only be directly rolled to 0.6, J3 can be directly rolled to 0.5, and J1 can be directly rolled to 0.4.
