Characteristic processing technology of 430 stainless steel

Date:2023-10-16View:337Tags:
430 stainless steel is a general steel type with good corrosion resistance. It has better thermal conductivity than austenite, smaller thermal expansion coefficient than austenite, is resistant to thermal fatigue, has added stabilizing element titanium, and has good mechanical properties at the weld. 430 stainless steel is used for building decoration, fuel burner components, household appliances, and home appliance components.

For example: The difference between 430/2B stainless steel and 430/AB stainless steel is that 430/2B is matte stainless steel and 430/BA is bright stainless steel. The corrosion resistance of 430/BA is almost the same as that of 430/2B, mainly in surface gloss. The difference is due to the different characteristics of the processing technology. Stainless steel 430/BA has a large number of ready stocks to choose from in the Maiganle Spot Mall.

So what are the specific processing techniques for the different characteristics of 430 stainless steel? Let’s briefly describe it below:
1D—The surface has discontinuous granularity, also known as matte surface. Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing, shot peening and pickling + cold rolling + annealing and pickling.
2D—Slightly shiny silvery white. Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing, shot peening and pickling + cold rolling + annealing and pickling.
2B—Silver white with better gloss and flatness than 2D surface. Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing, shot peening and pickling + cold rolling + annealing and pickling + quenching and tempering rolling.
BA—The surface has excellent gloss and high reflectivity, like a mirror surface. Processing technology: hot rolling + annealing, shot peening and pickling + cold rolling + annealing and pickling + surface polishing + tempering rolling.
No.3—has good gloss and rough texture on the surface. Processing technology: 2D products or 2B products are polished and tempered with 100~120 abrasive materials (JISR6002).
No.4—has good gloss and fine lines on the surface. Processing technology: 2D products or 2B products are polished and tempered with 150~180 abrasive materials (JISR6002).
HL—Silver gray with hairline streaks. Processing technology: Polish 2D products or 2B products with abrasive materials of appropriate particle size to make the surface appear continuous grinding patterns.
MIRRO—Mirror-like state. Processing technology: Use abrasive materials of appropriate particle size to grind and polish 2D products or 2B products to a mirror-like effect.
