Copper Tubes in Cryogenic and Low-Temperature Applications

Copper is widely used in cryogenic applications due to its excellent thermal conductivity and strength at low temperatures. 1. Copper Tubes in LNG Transport

Copper tubes, particularly copper-nickel alloys, are preferred for LNG pipelines because of their resistance to embrittlement and excellent thermal conductivity. Copper is also used in the construction of cryogenic storage vessels and heat exchangers. Its ability to withstand low temperatures without losing its strength makes it a reliable material for these applications. Additionally, the thermal conductivity of copper ensures efficient heat transfer in cryogenic environments, essential for maintaining the required temperatures in storage and transport systems.
