About aluminum plate
An aluminum plate is a kind of aluminum metal product. Aluminum ingots are melted and added to different alloys. It is gotten after the Aluminum products are processed through casting-rolling or hot-rolling, cold-rolling, annealing, cross-cutting and other processes.
By using the plastically processing methods to roll, extrude, stretch, and forge aluminum billets into plate-shaped aluminum products. In order to ensure the final performance of the plate, the finished product is treated by annealing, solution treatment, quenching, natural aging, and artificial aging treatment.
Aluminium plate and sheets are determined by their gauge (thickness). In general terms, a sheet is a thinner piece of aluminium in comparison to a plate.
A sheet of aluminium is from 0.5mm thickness up to 6.0mm in thickness – greater than 6.0mm in thickness is considered a plate.

5000 Series Alloy
The 5000 series aluminum alloys belong to the more commonly used alloy series. The main element is Mg. It is characterized by low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. In the same area, the weight of 5000 series alloy is lower than other series. Often used in aviation and conventional industries.
6000 Series Alloy
6000 series aluminum alloys mainly contain Mg and Si. 6000 series alloys have excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
7000 Series Alloy
7000 series aluminum alloys mainly contain Zn, Mg, and Cu. 7000 series alloys are super hard aluminum alloys. Has good wear resistance. It is often used in the manufacture of aircraft.
