The difference and application of Flattened steel plate and medium plate

Common plate is the abbreviation of ordinary hot-rolled carbon steel plate, which generally refers to the thin plate of Q235 series. The medium plate generally refers to a hot-rolled plate with a thickness of more than 20mm and less than 50mm.
       Coil, as the name suggests, refers to the plate used after the steel coil is flattened. The common thickness is between 2mm and 20mm, and the common materials are Q235, Q345, etc. The coil is also divided into hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil, stainless steel coil, and patterned coil. And so on, generally refers to hot-rolled thin coils. Open flat plate refers to the steel plate after the coil plate is flattened. The coil plate cannot be used without flattening. To put it simply, the flat plate is a steel plate after the coil plate is spread and cut into a certain length.
     According to the thickness, the steel plates are divided into thin steel plates (thickness <= 4 mm) and thick steel plates (thickness > 4 mm) medium plates. The steel plate between -60mm is called thick plate, and the steel plate with thickness >60mm is called extra-thick plate, collectively referred to as medium-thick steel plate. When the thin steel plate comes out of the steel mill, it is rolled, and the flat plate after the steel plate is flattened by the flattening machine is called "flat plate".
  Application range of open plate and medium plate:
        The internal stress level of the open plate is high, so the dimensional stability is poor. According to the different process parameters during the opening and leveling operation, the internal stress distribution is also different, and there will be different bearing capacities in different directions of the vertical length, and this bearing capacity is difficult to measure with general strength indicators. Therefore, the open plate will have a large welding deformation during welding, and it is difficult to adjust, so the open plate cannot be used for parts with high appearance quality requirements. The advantages of medium and heavy plates are just the opposite of the above.
        Similarly, because the bearing capacity of the open plate is different, the bending and integrity of the open plate will be very good, so the application of the open plate in the manufacturing process cannot be ignored. Comparing the medium plate with the same thickness and the open plate, although both are hot-rolled plates, the mechanical properties of the open plate are higher than that of the medium plate, the dimensional accuracy is high, and the surface quality is better than that of the medium plate.
