Generally speaking, austenitic stainless steel plate has good corrosion resistance and excellent comprehensive mechanical and technological functions, but its strength and hardness are low.
2. Ferritic stainless steel medium and heavy plate contains 11%-30% chromium, and does not contain nickel at all. Ferritic stainless steel medium and thick plates have higher strength, lower cold work hardening tendency, better resistance to chloride stress corrosion, pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and other partial corrosion functions, but are very sensitive to intergranular corrosion and low temperature toughness.
